On 29^th July Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj officially received Mr. Mark Green, the President of the International Republican Institute, who is one of the guests, invited to the 25^th anniversary of the first democratic election conference. President Elbegdorj noted that: “25 years ago, Mongolia used to have only one national television channel and a small handful of newspapers all of which belonged to one political party. Today Mongolians have many TV channels, independent magazines and newspapers and online freedom”. Mark Green said: “It is good, that Mongolian democracy is widening along with other Asian countries such as Myanmar and Kyrgyzstan. Also Mongolia is achieving success in its fight against corruption. The President went on to answer questions by Mr. Mark Green about the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Mongolian economic trends.
