On the 25^th July, the “2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games” opened in Los Angeles. ESPN broadcasted the opening ceremony live. Approximately 7000 sportsmen and 3000 coaches from 177 countries are taking part in 25 different sport categories. This is the first time that Mongolia is participating in the “Special Olympic Games”. In addition, Mongolian sportsmen took part in the lighting ceremony of the Olympic flame.

The “Special Olympics” is the largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the world; offering year-round training and competitions no less than 4.4 million athletes from over 170 countries.
