Prime Minister S.Batbold began an official visit to Austria yesterday. His fiest meeting was with Antonio Maria Costa, head of the UN office in Vienna. Batbold recalled Mongolia’s fruitful membership of the UN for 50 years and thanked the world body for providing humanitarian aid to Mongolia in its present weather-related crisis.

Mongolia will also take part in the UN’s convention against corruption and help strengthen organizations working against trade in fake medicines imports and drugs. The Prime Minister then presented the UN official with the Golden Gerege, a national award.

The Prime Minister’s team includes the Mongolian Ambassador to Austria,  J.Enkhsaikhan, Finance Minister S.Bayartsogt, MPs R.Bud and Ch.Saikhanbileg, his foreign policy adviser O.Och, Government Secretary of Foreign Ministry D.Tsogtbaatar, director of European Department of the Ministry Sh.Odonbaatar and director of State Diplomatic Ordinance R.Altangerel.
