This year has been remarkable for Mongolia in the classical music world. Mongolian Honorary Singer G.Ariunbaatar won the grand prix at the “XV International Tchaikovsky Competition”, also known as the “World’s Classical Music Olympus”.

Mongolian Honorary Singer E.Amartuvshin who took second place at the “2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition” also took first place in the ‘Placido Domingo World Opera Competition” and was recently awarded the “Audience Prize” at the BBC “Cardiff Voice of the World Competition” by BBC.

To recognize these achievements L.Gantumur , Minister of Education and Culture has appointed the two singers as Chevaliers of Labor.

In addition, G.Ariunbaatar has been awarded the title of National Singer of the Republic of Buryatia (Russian Federation).
