Currently, the preliminary discussion of the Government’s financial accounts is being discussed by Parliament. During the discussion the following explanations have been provided as to the reason for the fall in budget revenue by MNT 726.9 billion.
Three main reasons have caused the reduction: Firstly, the decrease of Official Income Taxes on Entities and Social insurance Premiums has caused economic difficulties. Secondly, relating to imports; there has been a fall in official income taxes on imported products, automobiles, vodka, cigarettes, oil products and customs dues. Thirdly, the price of the main export products has depreciated on the world market; thus there have been reduced Natural Resource Taxes and Customs’ commissions.
