At the invitation of Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj, the President of Myanmar Thein Sein is making an official visit in Mongolia. This is his first visit to Mongolia as President of Myanmar. This historical visit has much significance in developing friendly relations, in maintaining the frequency of high level visits and strengthening the bi-lateral legal framework. Diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Myanmar were established in 1956. It is planned that the Government will sign some documents related to partnership with Myanmar and, in particular, will discuss co-operation in mining, agriculture, culture and participation on regional and international organization. Also, both sides will exchange the experiences regarding the transition to democracy.
