The Mongolian Central Bank (MCB) has provided information about the latest currency auction which took place yesterday (11^th June 2015). The auctions occur twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are run by the MCB .

At yesterday’s auction, commercial banks offered to sell USD 17 million for MNT 1863.50-1875.00; and to buy USD 1.4 million for MNT 1865. The MCB also bought USD 17 million for MNT 1875.00 (closing price).

Due to the regular currency swap agreement of 11^th June, commercial banks offered to make a swap agreement of USD 71 million; the Mongolian Central Bank fulfilled the offer 100%.
