The General Electoral Commission held a meeting with Mongolia’s new ambassadors due to serve abroad. There was an exchange of opinions about the preparations for next Parliamentiary Election which will take place in 2016. Due to the election, ambassadors expressed their wish to provide possibilities for Mongolian citizens living abroad to vote in the election.

According to research data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of the 122,000 Mongolian citizens currently living abroad, only 57,000 citizens have been involved in the “New Registration”.

General Electoral Commission Chief of Ch.Sodnomtseren reminded the ambassadors to pay particular attention preparing for the election well in advance and to work carefully in accordance with the “Electoral Law” and other related regulations.
