Today, the staff members of the Second Shift of the Mongolian Armed Forces’ (MAF) Soldier Protection Division will are serving together with the German Armed Forces on the “Decisive Support” NATO-led operation in Afghanistan have expressed their respects to the General Banner and the Black Banner of All Mongolian Soldiers.

MAF Deputy Chief-of-Staff, Major General B.Bayarmagnai, other senior offices, Second Shift, staff members and their close relatives participated in ceremony. During the event, the MAF executive chiefs noted – “Participating in peacekeeping operations is the one of the MAFs’ peace time duties. Therefore, this action is an expression of our country providing safety in a political and diplomatic way; it also has special importance in strengthening political, economical and foreign partnership relations of our country. In addition it is proving highly beneficial to Mongolia, in terms of capacity building of the troops and improving skills and weaponry.

In addition, our soldiers will be co-operating in providing security for International Camp-Marmal along with soldiers from other counties.
