Thomas Bach, the president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has officially presented new branch commissions and members under the “Olympic Agenda 20+20” program. The IOC will now work in 13 branch commissions. Among the new members a Mongolian woman P.Tungalag has been appointed. She currently works for the Mongolian National Olympic Federation (MNOF) as assistant in charge of sport festivals and federations; P.Tungalag’s profession is an English teacher and translator. She has been serving on the Mongolian National Olympic Federation since 1999, and has worked as a member of the “Woman and Sport Commission” and also on the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). In 2012-2013, the secretary of MNOF J.Otgontsagaan was chosen as a member of “Sport and Environment Commission”, and Sh.Magvan was chosen as a plenipotentiary member in 1977; and honorary member in 2009 of the IOC. Therefore, P.Tungalag has become the first Mongolian female member on the IOC.
