Each year the Mongolian Government organizes the international “Ulaanbaatar Marathon”.  The annual sports competition which takes place on traffic free streets on the first Saturday of June is organized under Provision 325 and the “Ulaanbaatar Welcomes You” Program.

This year, the competition will be held on 6th June; Traffic Police will provide opportunity for citizens to practice and compete by closing some road partially and others completely.

According to the Traffic Police, the following routes will be closed from 07.00am-19.00pm:

-From the East Crossroad to Peace Avenue, from Ikh Toiruu Street to the Sansar Tunnel,

-From Tokyo Street  to North East Cross of Chinggis Hotel

-From Peace Avenue to the West Crossroad

-11th khoroolol (Youth Avenue), Baga Toiruu Road,  J.Sambuu Street

-Side roads to the east of the Geser monastery crossroad

-Seoul Street and  Olympic Street,

-From Chinggis Avenue to south side of Peace Bridge

-East side roads of “Buyan LLC”
