“Mobicom Corporation” CEO, David Holliday and Secretary of the Ministry of Environment Green Development and Tourism Ts.Tsengel have signed a Memorandum to protect the Mazaalai, or Gobi Bear, which is an endemic Mongolian species on the verge of extinction. This aide-memoire is valid from 1st June 2015 until 31st December.
During the event, Mr. Holliday noted – protecting and loving the national heritage is the one of the general priorities of the “Mobicom Corporation”. We will do everything we can for this rare endangered animal.
“Mobicom Corporation” will provide technical support, to improve the chances of studying the Mazaalai which lives only in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia. This will make it possible to identify natural dangers effecting the Mazaalai’s favorite food – rhubarb, such as the decrease in surface water. Remote sensor equipment will be used.
Researchers at the “National Pride – Mazaalai” NGO said – there are only 22 Mazaalais left in the Mongolian Gobi. If we don’t right act now – it will be too late!
