Speaker of Parliament Zandaakhu Enkhbold planted trees during the National Arbor Day event that took place on May 9, at the National Garden Park, creating a grove dedicated to the 70th anniversary of World war II and for the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Mongolian Parliament.
Members of Parliament, Cabinet Members, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Mongolia from Russia Azizov Iskander Kubarovich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Mongolia from Belarus Stanislav V. Chepurnoi, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Mongolia from Kazakhstan Kalybek Ibragimovich Koblandin participated in the tree planting event.
Speaker Z.Enkhbold opened the event saying, “ In 2010, the President of Mongolia issued Decree No. 63 to plant trees… The appeal calls on the entire population – citizens, state and private organizations – to make it a tradition to plant trees and to take care of the trees planted."
He noted that this year’s first of two tree planting days was organized on the same day as the 25th anniversary of Parliament being established and the 70th anniversary of the victory of World War II.
He called on all Members of Parliament to continue to expand the grove and plant trees with their own hands.
