On Saturday, the Russian Federation celebrated the 70th anniversary of World War II. The anniversary celebrated the Soviet soldiers who won World War II and honored the memories of the thousands of soldiers and civilians who lost their lives in the conflict.
The 9th of May is considered an important day in Russian history, marking the end of a struggle which brought independence to many countries and strengthened the world’s friendship and peace.
Honoring the victory of World War II, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Mongolia, management of the Armed Forces of Mongolia’s General Staff, and ambassadors of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, and Belarus, joined by family members and children of Russian soldiers and others, placed flowers on the monument to Russian soldiers and on the monument to Marshal Georgy K. Zhukov.
