The President of Mongolia, Ts.Elbegdorj, is paying an official visit to Russia by invitation of the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, for the celebration of the 70^th anniversary of World War II. During the official visit, President Ts.Elbegdorj had a tete-a-tete and official lunch with the Russian President.     

At the beginning of the meeting, President Putin stressed, “First of all, let me express my gratitude for accepting my invitation and participating in the ceremony. 

"It is an honor for us to invite you to participate in the 70^th anniversary of World War II. It should be noted that during the World War II Mongolia provided great assistance to Russia.  

"I should note that during the visit we will discuss several important issues regarding cooperation between our two countries, with a broad range of participation."

President Ts.Elbegdorj replied, “Your Excellency, Honorable President, let me express my gratitude for receiving us and finding time to receive us to discuss the relationship between our two countries.

"We are happy to share our greetings on behalf of the Mongolian nation and the Mongolian government for the 70 year anniversary of the celebration of the victory of World War II. We would like to wish you sincere success as a neighbor country and close friend.”   

After the tete-a-tete there was an official banquet and the two sides discussed a wide range of topics such as the economy, infrastructure, further cooperation between the two countries, trilateral meetings, and more.
