On April 24, a working trip of the President of Mongolia to the eastern Aimags continued with a visit to Bayan-Uul Soum of Dornod Aimag. President Elbegdorj met with local citizens and soldiers who are fighting to extinguish the steppe wildfire spread in the eastern Aimags.

The wildfire which broke out in Russia has extended across about one third of the territory of Dornod Aimag and nearly half of Bayan-Uul Soum. After working in Dornod Aimag, the President will visit Khentii and Sukhbaatar Aimags.
