Starting from next week, Parliamentary Standing Committees will discuss a Draft Law submitted on the Tavan Tolgoi project which has been presented to Speaker of Parliament Z.Enkhbold by the Government of Mongolia. 

Head of the Cabinet Secretariat S.Bayartsogt presented the documents for review and spoke about the process of submitting the Tavan Tolgoi project for approval.

He went on to explain: 

"There are six issues regarding the draft of the project the investing side should add five types of materials and clarify one issue. We have made this request to the government. 

Following this request, at the plenary meeting of the government discussed two issues and approved two resolutions, 150 and 151 in regard to the project. 

"Hence, the draft law has been presented in full today to the Speaker of the Parliament.

"In order to make the draft law complete, we have presented measures to be taken in order to develop the coal mine at Tavan Tolgoi.  

"Moreover, we have submitted documents about the project's investment, including appendix material for the investment project, special permissions, the cooperation agreement, calculation of payments under the cooperation agreement, the formulation of calculations for land use, the concession agreement on railway between Ukhaa Khudag and Gashuinsukhait, financial and budgetary expenses for the development of the Tavan Tolgoi coal deposit, and government resolutions 150 and 151."
