The Minister of Foreign Affairs, L.Purevsuren, who is participating in the 60th anniversary of the Asian-African Conference, paid an official visit to the office of the ASEAN secretariat on April 20, in Jakarta, and met with General Secretary Le Luong Minh to discuss strengthening relations with ASEAN.  

Minister L.Purevsuren presented a letter of enquiry to become a partner in ASEAN discussions to General Secretary Minh, and offered a proposal to establish a joint working group to determine possible directions for further cooperation. The Minister also invited the General Secretary to visit Mongolia.      
General Secretary Minh accepted the invitation to visit Mongolia and said that ASEAN is ready to discuss providing assistance to Mongolia in all fields and to determine fields of cooperation.
