Representatives of the Japanese company Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd., together with the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, have organized a trip to Japan to introduce the management of association member companies with the activities of their textiles company.
For the last two years, Mongolian designers and programmers have participated in this trip. This year the directors of the companies belonging to the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association are participating in the training.
The directors were introduced to the modern equipment and techniques being used at Shima Seiki, with a focus on their APEX-3 system, and how to minimize unnecessary costs of production and to create savings.
The founder of Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd., and Mr. Shima stressed, “Our goal is the production of high quality products able to compete in the cashmere market, utilizing high level, fully automated machines.”
Taking into consideration the present economic state of the country and the needs of Mongolian cashmere producers, Japanese partners are trying to arrange for the loaning of machinery needed by the cashmere industry under Mongolia and Japane's new free trade agreement.
Shima Seiki opened a representative office in Mongolia in 2008 and has provided the cashmere industry in Mongolia with 80 percent of the total supply of machinery and equipment for the production of textile products.
