The 2nd consultative meeting of the deputy ministers of railway and transportation of Mongolia, China, and Russia was carried out from April 9 to 10, in Ulaanbaatar.
The meeting was organized under the auspices of the President of Mongolia and also served in preparation for the upcoming visit of President Ts.Elbegdorj to Russia.
Discussions were held from the Mongolian side by Deputy Minister of Roads and Transportation Kh.Erjan, from the Russian side Deputy Minister of Transportation of the Russian Federation, Alexei Tsydenov, and from the Chinese side by Deputy Chairman of the State Railways General Authority Fu Shuani.
The first symposium dedicated to the development of trilateral cooperation between the transportation sectors of Mongolia, China, and Russia was held in December 2013, in Ulaanbaatar. The first meeting focused on developing transcontinental railway transportation to increase transit through Mongolia. The meeting was initiated by the Government of Mongolia and the Ministry of Transportation.
