Parliament’s
Standing Committee on Legislation met yesterday to discuss the issue of
dismissing the director of Anti-Corruption Authority Ch.Sangaragchaa and
vice-director D.Sunduisuren but was unable to reach any decision. Suggestions
of the Standing Committee members will be discussed by Special Control
sub-committee. Head of the Standing Committee B.Bat-Erdene commented on the
matter.

The Standing Committee
made the fourth discussion of the anti-corruption officials. What decision did
you reach?

The
Standing Committee on Legislation discussed the proposal of State General
Prosecutor to dismiss the director and vice director of Anti-Corruption
Authority. The members of the standing committee agreed some things must be
cleared. First is abusing the power and spending state money. The second reason
is violating procedures. The violation of operating procedures must be
discussed by Special Control Sub-Committee. The standing committee agreed to
receive the suggestions from the sub-committee. In addition, the case is being
investigated by a joint working group established by Investigation Department
of State Prosecuting Authority and General Intelligence Authority. So we
decided it was right to wait for the analysis of the working group. In other
words, the Parliament will not be able to discuss it within the spring session.

Is it true that 20 MPs
were being listened by the order of Ch.Sangaragchaa?

It
was denied by the sides.

When will the analysis
of the working group be ready?

It
is indicated in law that legal period to settle the case of Anti-Corruption
directors is14 days and seven days for other employees. But in reality the time
is not always enough to settle the case. We will work to settle the cases
within the legal term. I think the analysis of the working group will come
soon.
