A groundbreaking ceremony for the Sainshand Wind Park project will be held today.

The wind park will consist of 27 fans with a combined capacity of 52 megawatts.    

The construction work is expected to be complete by 2016 and a total of 115 million USD is required to complete it.

Sainshand has been selected as the location for the wind farm for its available infrastructure and the ease of connecting the facility to the central electricity grid. The wind park is expected to supply enough renewable energy equal to provide electricity to 100,000 households and reduce carbon gas emissions by replacing the use of 50,000 tons of coal to generate power.
