The meeting named “Ties of the Energy Sector”, a gathering of Northeast Asian experts in energy, began today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting is being organized under the theme ”Discussion about the security issues of Northeast Asia in Ulaanbaatar".
Representatives of the energy research and analysis institutions of Russia, China, South Korea, Japan, representatives of Mongolia's state and private enterprises, and 24 scientists from 16 international and private organizations took part in the meeting.
The President of Mongolia, Ts. Elbegdorj, led the initiative to host the international meeting in Ulaanbaatar in April 2013, during the 7th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies in order to contribute to the resolution of vital security questions in the region, since Mongolia has friendly relationships with all Northeast Asian countries.
