The conference of the International Coordinating Committee of National Human Rights Institutions (ICC) was held in Geneva, Switzerland, last week. Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission J.Byambadorj and Referent U.Undrakh participated in the conference.

During the conference, Mongolia was selected to become the newest member of the ICC.

The ICC promotes the role of national human rights institutions (NHRIs) not only within the United Nations and with states and other international agencies, but it also promotes and strengthens NHRIs to be in accordance with the Paris Principles and provides leadership in the promotion and protection of human rights.
