The Independent Authority Against Corruption of Mongolia has investigated the case of the Director of Erdenes Tavantolgoi, Ya.Batsuri, on allegations of corruption.
The district court kept him in custody for 14 days during the trial. Investigators of the Independent Authority Against Corruption and the Prosecutor’s Office of the district submitted a resolution calling for a prison sentence in the conviction of Ya.Batsuri.
Ya.Batsuuri was found guilty of violating Section 3 of Article 150 of the Criminal Law of Mongolia and Section 2 of Article 265 of the same law.
The charge calls for a prison term of 60 days and in the case of necessity, the term may be prolonged by 30 days multiple times.
