Parliament’s
meeting on Friday approved several laws. Before the Parliament’s meeting was
announced, Standing Committees on Economy, Budget and Government Structure
hastily approved draft laws. Some drafts were discussed in less than five
minutes and MP R.Rash criticized that meetings must not be like this.

Budget
revision which was hastily approved by the Standing Committee on Budget was
also hastily approved by the Parliament, getting 95.7 percent of approval. Total
budget income was down by MNT 145.3 billion to MNT 2.645.7 billion while the
budget expense was down by MNT 143.3 billion reaching MNT 3.107.9 billion. The
total deficit was MNT 462.2 billion which is 6.4 percent of GDP.

Second
law approved by the Parliament was to make amendments in the law to guarantee to
cash deposits in banks. The law was approved by the first discussion.

Afterwards,
the Parliament approved the Parliament’s protocol which is relevant to every
citizen by 89.6 percent. This way, citizens of Mongolia will take MNT 10
thousand from Human Development Fund every month starting August 1. Since the
distribution of MNT 70 thousand seemingly triggered inflation rise, the
Government decided to give MNT 10 thousand to citizens until the end of the year.
This means the DP group’s suggestion to give MNT 20 thousand to Children has
failed.
