Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Tony Blair has paid an official visit to Mongolia. According to sources he visited the Government House today and has met with influential politicians.

During the governance of former Prime Minister S.Batbold, Blair has been involved in consulting on several issues with the Mongolian government. Tony Blair paid a visit to Mongolia in March 2013, during the celebration of Nayriz, the Kazakh holiday, and met with former Prime Minister of Mongolia N.Altankhuyag and S.Byambatsogt, Chairman of the MPP Group at the Parliament.

There are assumptions that he has discussed Oyu Tolgoi issues during his visits to Mongolia.

Before the end of the autumn session of Parliament, a program to address economic difficulties has been approved. The present program contains assignments to move forward on major projects such as Tavan Tolgoi and Oyu Tolgoi.

The Government of Mongolia has not denied that discussions of mega projects with Tony Blair have been carried out.

Presently, the former Prime Minister is mostly consulting on employment issues and is leading the following organizations from the UK: the Tony Blair Government Advisory Practice, Office of the Quarter Representative, Тоny Blair Faith Foundation, Тоny Blair Africa Governance Initiative, and Тоny Blair Associates.
