The Speaker of Parliament, Z.Enkhbold, met with the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, at the Japanese Prime Minister’s Palace on February 24.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Abe has stressed that he was grateful to the Speaker of the Parliament for paying an official visit to Japan. He mentioned that the day marked the 43 year anniversary of the establishment of a diplomatic relationship between Mongolia and Japan, and the visit of the Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia was an important official visit for the political and economic cooperation between the two countries. 

During the visit, Prime Minister Abe stressed that Japanese investors are interested in making investments in Mongolia, adding,  "Therefore, we believe that you, Distinguished Speaker of Parliament, will make efforts for the creation of a favorable investment environment. Moreover, we would like to express our gratitude that the economic partnership agreement which has been established between the two countries has been ratified by the Parliament.    

"Japanese Parliament will also work to ratify this agreement in the near future. The increased frequency of the organization of high level meetings between Mongolia and Japan proves that our relationship has become very close. Moreover, Yokozuna Hakuho, a sumo wrestling grand champion who has became a cultural messenger between Mongolia and Japan, has shown outstanding achievements. We believe that he will affirm his achievements in the future."

Batzandan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan from Mongolia S.Khurelbaatar, and other officials.
