The Prime Minister of Mongolia, Ch.Saikhanbileg, has successfully concluded his first official foreign visit to Japan.

The official visit took place from February 9 to 11. The signing of Mongolian-Japanese economic partnership agreement by Prime Minister  Ch.Saikhanbileg and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe was a historical moment and one of the most important issues resolved within this official visit.

Ratification of a parliamentary economic partnership agreement of the two countries will be effective immediately.

The sides say they value the significance of the establishment of an economic partnership agreement, stating, “The increased flow of trade, investment, services, and products has great importance in linking Mongolia with regional and global integration."

After the end of his official visit, the Prime Minister gave a report to the media.

As he mentioned, “Although the term of the visit was tight, the results of the visit were good.”

The signing of the economic partnership agreement and the joint statement, the main objectives of the visit, were implemented successfully.

This economic partnership agreement was the first for Mongolia and the 15th for Japan.

Although Mongolia is listed at 130 according to the development of its economy, Mongolia has signed its first free trade agreement with the 3rd leading economy in the world, which will create a positive impact for  further negations and agreements.

The Prime Minister spoke to journalists at Chinggis Khan International Airport, giving an overall evaluation of the visit:

According to the visit, we have decided on several important issues which were waiting for resolutions.

The Reconciliation Government should make decisions in order to launch programs and projects have been halted. Moreover, measures to expand the  economy should be taken, investment flow should be increased,  and measures to lift the economy to growth should be taken. For example,  to double and to triple the value of 1 USD.

Starting important projects is a keen interest of Mongolians, thus, I believe that the government will take appropriate measures in the near future.

I hope that within these next few days important projects will be approved.
