Speaker of Parliament, Z. Enkhbold has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Mongolia Christopher Stuart, as he is returning to his home country.
Speaker Z. Enkhbold thanked the Ambassador and mentioned that Mongolia values its relationship with Great Britain. Among western countries, Great Britain was one of the first to recognize the independence of Mongolia. The diplomatic relationship between Mongolia and Great Britain was established in 1963.
He also mentioned that the inter-parliamentary relationship between Mongolia and Great Britain has expanded.
Ambassador Stuart thanked the Speaker for receiving him and said that he was grateful for his friendly, hospitable, and trusted relationship. Moreover, he mentioned that there has been progress in the field of cooperation in mining, natural gas exploration, and the energy sectors between British and Mongolian companies.
