According to the government meeting held on January 19, excise taxes for petroleum and diesel products were set as follows: A-80 252,000 MNT/ton, AI-92 259,000 MNT/ton, and diesel 265,000 MNT/ton.
With these rates, approximately 220 million MNT will be generated annually for the state budget.
Petroleum retail prices have been stable for the past two years, and the Mining Ministry reports that prices for petroleum products will remain stable.
As of January 27, the state reserves of petroleum products are at 45 days of average consumption. Broken down, A-80 petroleum is at 65 days, AI-92 petroleum at 53, diesel at 46, and there is a 16 day reserve of TC-1 airplane fuel.
