Commercial banks are offering USD exchange rates as low as 1,933 MNT. However, rates at Naiman Sharga currency exchange market are 1,945 MNT with a selling rate of USD at 1,948 MNT.

As of December 2014, the rate for USD was 1,850 MNT, which rose by 100 MNT within one month.

Mongol Bank says it has taken several measures to stabilize the USD exchange rate, but by increasing its policy rate, the exchange rate is still increasing. Economists in Mongolia warn that if the USD exchange rate will continue to rise if we do not stop producing tugrugs.  

The announced USD exchange rate of Mongol Bank is 1,947 MNT.
