The Mongolian Academy of Sciences has appealed to President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj to celebrate the Mongolian Great Yuan Nation's Khublai Khan’s 800th anniversary.

The Government of the Republic of China is going to hold a worldwide celebration of Khublai Khan’s birthday, proclaiming him as a great Chinese king. The Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) thinks that Mongolia should also celebrate the anniversary of his birth on a national scale, and let the rest of the world know the historical truth about his role in world history.

At 11:00 a.m. today, at the Presidium Conference Hall of MAS, scholars held an event to discuss the celebration of Khublai Khan’s anniversary and his contributions to Mongolian and world history.
