The Government of Mongolia issued a decision on measures to cut government spending on New Year's celebrations by state owned or state funded organizations in 2014-2015, ordering budget coordinators to avoid purchasing government budget funded gifts, drinks, hosting, promotion of lotteries, organizing performances, and delivering greetings and gifts to partners, and suggested delivering online greetings instead.

The decision was introduced by Head of the Cabinet Secretariat for Government S.Bayartsogt during Monday's cabinet meeting.
