A man from Bayangol
district claims that his 15-year-old daughter has been having frequent fits of
falling unconscious ever since she was given the vaccine against the H1N1 virus
last winter. They have been visiting hospitals since February but no doctor has
been able to diagnose her condition or suggest a remedy.

He said doctors at The
Mother Child Center have told him her condition is not of a serious nature but
she will have to take medicine for the rest of her life. They also say more
such children have come with similar symptoms after the vaccination.

B.Bolormaa, head of the
neurology department of the hospital, said they receive 10-15 such children every
month. She, however, did not think the particular vaccine had anything to do
with it as some children may react to any vaccination in such a way.

A 14-year-old girl at
the center told us she had fallen a few times since she was five but the
frequency of her losing conscience has increased since she took the swine flu
vaccination.
