Ulaanbaatar is to host the Badminton World Federation's Level 4 International Badminton Tournament in September 2015. It is a part of the international circuit of badminton tournament qualifying events for the upcoming 2016 Rio Olympics.

It has been decided that Mongolian jurors M.Zolzaya, E.Erdenebayar and O.Ishkhuu will be involved in training for the international jury in 2015. The training will be conducted in Sanya, China, during the China Open Tournament.
