During Saturday's Mongolian People's Party conference, members discussed and approved PM Ch.Saikhanbileg's suggestion to work with the DP to form a coalition government.

The structure of the coalition government will be made public this week.

The DP and MPP agreed on several political and economic issues to form the coalition government. Negotiation between the two parties is expected to continue. The DP is likely to comply with the MPP's demand to put the DP's action plan aside and form a  joint action plan for the 1.6 year term of the new government, seek ways to end the economic downturn without increasing foreign debt, and to make amendments to the election law including the hand counting of paper ballots used in electronic voting machines.

The MPP said that it conducted a public poll on the issue of working with the DP in the new government, which resulted in 90 percent approval for joining the coalition.

There was no strong criticism of joining the DP's coalition during the MPP conference.
