The first consultative meeting between the foreign affairs ministries of Mongolia and India was held in New Delhi, on November 27th.
The consultative meeting was jointly chaired by director of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Economic Cooperation, Department of Asia-Pacific Countries Ch.Bayarmunkh and Head of the East Asia Division of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs Pradeep Kumar Rawat. At the consultative meeting, the parties exchanged information about each country's current political, social and economic situation and foreign affairs priorities.
The counterparts also shared opinions on furthering comprehensive partnership relations between Mongolia and India, particularly, strengthening bilateral cooperation in defense, trade, the economy, education, culture, agriculture, and renewable energy.
The parties emphasized the importance of keeping and maintaining the frequency of high ranking reciprocal visits to expand and strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation, and agreed to conduct high level reciprocal visits in the scope of next year's 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries, occuring at the same time as the 25th anniversary of Mongolia's democratic transformation.
During the consultative meeting, Mongolian delegates met Secretary of East Asia Division of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs Anil Wadhwa to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.
