UNECSO officially announced on Thursday that it has inscribed Mongolian ankle bone shooting on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Previously, UNESCO inscribed Mongolian calligraphy and Mongolian traditional craftsmanship of the Mongol ger, along with its associated customs, on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and the priceless intellectual heritage, the great treatise “Ganjur” as part of the world's Documentary Heritage.
Mongolia has contributed the following cultural, documentary and natural heritages to UNESCO so far:
