Speaker of Mongolian Parliament and DP Leader Z.Enkhbold and MP and Head of the Cabinet Secretariat for Government Ch.Saikhanbileg, who has been nominated by the DP for PM, held a meeting that went on for hours with the opposition MPP caucus.

Ch.Saikhanbileg introduced his action plan to the MPP caucus and answered the questions of its members.

The 19 MPP caucus members expressed support for Ch.Saikhanbileg, but the final decision about his nomination was made not by the MPP caucus but by the Management Board of the MPP.

Following the caucus meeting, the Management Board of MPP held a meeting attended by the 19 caucus members. The nomination was rejected with a 12 to 7 vote.

The MPP now seems to be divided on the issue of forming a new government and rallying with the DP and Ch.Saikhanbileg's nomination for PM.

On Monday MPP leader M.Enkhbold, MPP caucus head S.Byambatsogt and MPP Secretary General J.Munkhbat held a press conference.  During the press conference MPP announced that  the party not in support of Ch.Saikhanbileg for PM.
