FIFA's Ethics Committee has issued a five-year ban to the president of the Mongolian Football Association B.Ganbold from all types of activities related to football because of bribery.
IB.Ganbold had accepted money from former FIFA Executive Committee member Mohamed bin Hammam before his election to FIFA's Executive Committee in 2009.
Mohamed bin Hammam, a former football administrator and president of the Asian Football Confederation and member of FIFA's executive committee ran in FIFA presidential election campaign along with current FIFA President Blatter.
FIFA's Ethics Committee decided actions made by B.Ganbold violated the General rules of conduct, duty of disclosure, cooperation and reporting, conflicts of interest, offering and accepting gifts and other benefits, bribery and corruption and general irresponsibility to collaborate of the FIFA Code of Ethics.
The ban on B.Ganbold will be effective from October 15th 2014.
B.Ganbold was nominated to run in the elections of the Mongolian Football Association. Due to the ban by FIFA, he can no longer participate.
