The Asian Games men's marathon finished on Friday. Ali Hasan Mahboob crossed the finish line in two hours, 12 minutes and 38 seconds, and won the Asian Games gold for Bahrain, one second ahead of Mastumara, and four seconds ahead of another Japanese runner, Yuki Kawauchi, in third.

Mongolian runner B.Ser-Od crossed the finish line in two hours, six minutes and 13 seconds and earned 5th place. B.Ser-Od led the marathon from the 30 km nark, but competition caught up in the last two km.

Another Mongolian runner, B.Gantulga, place 9th, crossing the line in two hours, twenty minutes and fifty four seconds.
