Three medals on Day 9 at Asian Games

The 17th Asian Games continues for its 10th day in Incheon, South Korea.

On Day 9, Mongolian freestyle wrestling and boxing athletes continued the medal race.

Mongolian athlete and international master (IM) M.Nandintsetseg won bronze in women's 51 kg boxing. She will move on to fight for the silver medal.

On the same day, three Mongolian freestyle wrestlers grabbed medals. Mongolian freestyle wrestler IM S.Byambatseren, competing in the women's 55 kg event, won silver, while World Cup silver medalist and two-time bronze medalist O.Burmaa (women's 75 kg) and D.Khuderbulga (men's 97 kg) each won bronze.

IM S.Byambatseren wrestled with the Japanese three-time Olympic Champion and 10-time World Champion, Saori Yoshida, in the women's 55 kg event for a gold medal. 

During a press conference following the match, S.Byambatseren said, "I am here for the first time in the Asian Games. I faced the famous Japanese wrestler, Saori Yoshida, in the final. This is the second time I have encountered her. But I could not manage to carry out the tactics I planned with my coaches. But I will do my best next time."

Mongolian athletes have won a total of 18 medals, including 4 gold, 4 silver and 10 bronze, at this year's Asian Games. Mongolia has been ranked 11with its success on the medal table.
