The Minister of National Defense of Turkey, İsmet Yılmaz, is making an official visit to Mongolia upon the invitation of the Defense Minister of Mongolia and Chair of the Mongolia-Turkey Intergovernmental Commission on Economy and Trade, D.Bat-Erdene, on September 25 and 26^th.

İsmet Yılmaz's visit to Mongolia comes at the same time as the 45^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Turkey.

The two parties will be expected to discuss a wide range of issues including defense, bilateral relations, and cooperation.

Two significant agreements in military cooperation will be signed by the Defense Ministers of the two countries. The Turkish Minister of National Defense plans to tour the remains of ancient Turkic monuments in Kharkhorin and Nalaikh during his visit to Mongolia.
