Teachers’ Day in Mongolia will be celebrated on October 5th, the same day as World Teachers’ Day, announced by the Education Department of Ulaanbaatar City Administration.

Teachers in Mongolia are going to celebrate the holiday for the 48th year, but this is the first time teachers will celebrate with teachers around the world on October 5th. 

Plans for numerous celebration and events are underway for the upcoming Teachers’ Day in Mongolia.

Sport Festival 2014, held annually since 2011, for teachers in Ulaanbaatar general education schools will be organized in six categories this year.

Sport Festival 2014 will be held at the Wrestling Palace on September 27-28th.

Under an initiative from the Ulaanbaatar City Mayor, top teachers will be awarded bonuses under a program to evaluate teaching quality and performance based on a general education school and kindergarten index in Ulaanbaatar.
