A tourist information center has opened at the Ulaanbaatar Railway Station.
The Ministry for Culture, Sport and Tourism is operating the tourist information center in collaboration with the Ulaanbaatar City Tourism Department, opened on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the tourism industry in Mongolia and for the city's 375th anniversary.
The tourist information center provides all kinds of information for visitors and travel access to not only foreign tourists but also to local travelers and Mongolian citizens visiting Ulaanbaatar.
The nation's largest railway passenger and transportation hub, Ulaanbaatar Railway Station serves approximately 40,000 passengers a day and 1,200,000 a month.
According to the Ulaanbaatar City Tourism Department, the tourist information center will be in demand, as Mongolia and Russia have now signed an agreement on visa-free travel.
