The opening of new academic year of the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology began with a ceremony today in the Nalaikh district.
The German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) was established in 2011, in accordance with an agreement between German Chancellor Merkel and Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj concerning close cooperation in the fields of mineral resources, industry and technology to provide qualified engineering and technology personnel in Asia. The Institute is particular with its teaching associated with industrial practices.
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development supports the further sustainable development of the institute.
