The Japanese professional sumo wrestling banzuke, a document listing the rankings of professional sumo wrestlers, has been published. The fifth basho in 2014 will featue three yokozuna and three ozeki .
In September, a total of 26 Mongolian sumo wrestlers will fight in the professional sumo wrestling tournament, and 13 of them will fight in the top division (makucchi) of professional sumo. This is the highest record achieved by Mongolian sumo wrestlers and the first time that 13 Mongolian sumo wrestlers have fought in the makuuchi of all six divisions of the tournament.
Sumo Grand Champion Hakuho leads the Mongolian sumo wrestlers in the division with Harumafuji and Kakiryu chasing after him. Terunofuji who was put on the east standings and will lead career maegashira wrestlers. Ichinojo moved on to the makuuchi division for the first time to stand in 10th place in the maegashira. In addition, Kyokutenho, Tokitenku, Kagamio, Kyokushiho, Azumaryu, Takainova, Aravashi and Tamavashi will fight in makuuchi.
In the juro division, Shotenru, Asasekeryu, Sensho and Sagigake will fight.
The basho will kick off on September 14th.
