Mongolia is celebrating the historic 75th anniversary of the victory by Mongolian and Soviet soldiers who sacrificed and risked their lives in the battles at Khalkh Gol. For the nationwide celebration of the historic event, a ceremony for the first day of the issue of a set of postage stamps for “The 75th anniversary of victory in the battles at Khalkh Gol” was held at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar, today, August 28th.
The commemorative stamps dedicated to the historic event are being issued in collaboration with Marka Center of Russia.
The special “The 75th anniversary of victory in the battles at Khalkh Gol” postage stamp is being issued in an edition of 15,000. And a set of 20 stamps are on sale for 750 MNT. A first day of issue cover, with the number of the stamps printed on the cover and an official seal, were created by Mongolian and Russian artists.
