Mongolia is celebrating the historic 75^th anniversary of the victory by Mongolian and Soviet soldiers who sacrificed and risked their lives in the battles at Khalkh Gol. For the nationwide celebration of the historic event, a ceremony for the first day of the issue of a set of postage stamps for “The 75^th anniversary of victory in the battles at Khalkh Gol” was held at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar, today, August 28^th.

The commemorative stamps dedicated to the historic event are being issued in collaboration with Marka Center of Russia.

The special “The 75^th anniversary of victory in the battles at Khalkh Gol” postage stamp is being issued in an edition of 15,000. And a set of 20 stamps are on sale for 750 MNT. A first day of issue cover, with the number of the stamps printed on the cover and an official seal, were created by Mongolian and Russian artists.
