Today is the third day of the 2014 World Judo Championships in Chelyabinsk, Russia.

Over 750 judokas from 120 countries are competing in seven men's and women's weight categories and team events.

Currently, medal winners have been declared in the in men's 60 kg and 66 kg events and in the women's 48 kg and 52 kg events.

Today, winners in the men's 73 kg and women's 57 kg events will be named.

World champion, Olympic bronze medalist, Labor Hero of Mongolia, and State Merit Athlete Kh.Tsagaanbaatar competed in the men's 73 kg event, State Merit Athlete S.Nyam-Ochir competed in the 57 kg event, and IM D.Sumiya competed in the women's 57 kg event.

S.Nyam-Ochir avoided facing his first rival in a bye and went on to defeat a Canadian judoka with a yuko score in the second round.  He then lost to Japan's Shohei Ono by penalty and ended his bid for a tournament medal.

In the men's 73 kg event, Mongolian judoka Kh.Tsagaanbaatar lost by a waza-ari score to Russia's Musa Mogushkow, ending the tournament for him on the third day.
